Inspection templates enhance the visual inspection process by guiding the operator's eyes to a specific location on the board to check for the presence and correctness of components.

StenTech’s pin support templates are manufactured from a clear acrylic material to allow for a rigid template. They are designed to match the board sizes, allowing you to process the template through different processes. By using it in your screen printer, you can easily guide the pins to support the board into place, reducing setup time, reducing damage to components by the pins and creating a good support for the board during printing. We can also provide our customers with a 1:1 ratio Mylar for inspection needs. We can generate your Mylars from Gerber or DXF files that are sent electronically..

PCB Visual Inspection Templates

Depending on the type of template, they are manufactured using state-of-the-art laser technology and manufactured from acrylic material (ESD) or Mylar. Openings are provided for each component.

SMT Pin Support Inspection Templates

These are manufactured from a clear acrylic material to allow for a rigid template. The Pin Support Template is a duplicate image of the circuit board with both the top- and bottom-side SMT components printed on a clear template. It is then placed into your printer and used to place support pins in open areas on the template. This way the pin supports do not have to be adjusted when printing the second side.

Laser Cut SMT Mylar Inspection Templates

These are manufactured on a transparency providing a 1:1 image of the paste file. It can be used for stencil and circuit board inspection to ensure all apertures are present. These are manufactured on a Mylar transparency of 7-mil film.
